Moscow Residents Feel Confident Trusting Integrity Chimney Service’s CSIA-Certified Crew

When it comes to chimney knowledge and customer safety, we strive to be industry leaders. That’s why folks in Moscow, Stephen Heights, Dawn Acres, Harmony Hills, Hollisters, Aberdeen, Olwen Heights, Quinlan Corners, Fells Corners, Madisonville, Scranton, Northern Poconos, and more always hire us!

Fireplaces and chimneys are complex structures that come in a wide range of models and fuel types. Which is why, when you hire a chimney company, you want to know for certain the team knows how to handle a wide range of issues. For instance, a gas system needs to be approached differently from a wood-burning one, and prefab set-ups will have different requirements from masonry ones… Basically, your sweeps should really know their stuff.

But how can you know for sure that you sweep is qualified if you’ve yet to work with them? Well, one way is by checking to see if they are certified with the Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA).

About the CSIA

The CSIA is a nonprofit organization known nationwide for training and educating chimney sweeps. It’s run by a group of volunteers – all industry experts – and any sweep that wants to ensure they’re serving their customers to the best of their ability will be sure to obtain this qualification.

And, trust us… this isn’t one of those organizations where you pay a quick fee and get to claim you’re “certified.” Earning a CSIA certification takes hours of studying required materials after which an exam must be passed. And it doesn’t stop there! Every 3 years, the certification must be renewed or it will be lost.

Finally, sweeps must sign a Code of Ethics that requires them to represent the CSIA well by remaining honest and always keeping the customer’s best interests in mind. All in all, a sweep that’s put in the time and training to achieve this honor is one that is sure to treat you fairly and professionally.
